The Ghana GLOBE: Greening Schools Initiative
Equipping students with tools and data to track and act on environmental challenges through school-based science learning.
This initiative, active in two Accra schools, equips students with real-time tools to monitor environmental changes through weather stations and air quality monitors. Developed in partnership with Ghana Education Service, HBCU Green Fund, and the Forestry Commission, the program includes a mobile app to track soil, land cover, and plant health. It builds climate science skills and aims to scale to 20 schools in 2025.
