THE GREEN FUND
What We Do
At The Green Fund, we believe in the power of young leaders and vibrant communities to create lasting change. Through innovative programs, we empower people of African descent to lead the way in sustainability, climate justice, and green innovation. Join us in shaping a greener, more equitable future!
HBCU GREEN FUND FELLOWS
Cultivating Tomorrow’s Green Innovators
We empower HBCU students with the skills, mentorship, and knowledge to lead in green innovation and the clean economy. From hands-on training to leadership development, this program prepares the next generation of climate champions.

The Green Fund Africa
Empowering Africa’s Emerging Climate Leaders
Supporting African youth with $500 – $10,000 USD micro-grants and resources to drive local climate solutions, we center equity and justice in every effort. Together, we’re fostering resilient, climate-smart communities across sub-Saharan Africa.
COMMUNITY HUBS
Investing in Sustainable HBCU Communities To Thrive
Community Hubs bring lasting benefits by fostering access to green spaces, clean energy, and economic opportunities in communities surrounding historically Black colleges and universities. Through mentorship, training, internships, and HBCU student-led initiatives, we invest in creating thriving sustainable communities and prepare HBCU students for careers in sustainability.

Global Resiliency
Climate Resilance Through Cross-Cultural Exchange
The HBCU Green Fund provides energy, agriculture, environmental, and sustainability education and support to help communities become more climate resilient, food secure, and productive. By leveraging the expertise and innovation of HBCUs, the HBCU Green Fund empowers students and residents with training, tools, and resources to advance renewable energy, urban farming, green infrastructure, and environmental justice—building healthier, more self-sufficient neighborhoods.
