TAKE ACTION
Build A Community Hub
Lead Local. Think Global. Create Change.
At The Green Fund, we believe that the most powerful climate solutions are community-led. That’s why we’re expanding our network of HBCU Community Hubs—local, student-powered initiatives that drive clean energy access, environmental justice, education, and economic opportunity in and around HBCU campuses.
Now, it’s your turn.
Whether you’re a student, staff member, alumni, or community leader, you can help launch a hub of sustainability and impact in your neighborhood, campus, or city. From urban gardens and green spaces to climate workshops and energy innovation, your hub can meet the specific needs of your community—with support from The Green Fund every step of the way.
What Does a Community Hub Do?
✔ Activates green spaces and clean energy access
✔ Hosts climate justice events, trainings, and workshops
✔ Engages students, faculty, and local residents in sustainability
✔ Creates workforce pathways in energy, STEM, and advocacy
✔ Builds climate resilience from the ground up
Each hub is locally designed but globally connected—part of a growing movement of sustainability leaders from across the HBCU community and the African Diaspora.
