Bashiru Koroma is the President and CEO for Keep Africa Beautiful Sierra Leone. He is a Conservationist, Natural Resource Management specialist and Climate Justice Activist. Bashiru is a United States Fish and Wildlife Service Mentor PACE Fellow and also a Mandela Washington Fellow. Understanding the fact that without Climate Literacy the most vulnerable groups to the impact of climate change including children, youth, women and people living with disability will be less able to adapt to current and projected adverse economic and environmental impacts of climate change, Bashiru and his team are constructing the first Centre for Climate Justice and Sustainability Leadership in Bo City, Southern Sierra Leone with the aim to engage, educate and empower the most vulnerable groups to the impact of climate change with knowledge, skills and practices that will enable them to adapt to the impact of climate change. The purpose for the Centre for Climate Justice and Sustainability Leadership when completed is to organise classes, lectures, seminars, workshops and symposiums for children, youth, women, people living with disability and provide them with information, skills, knowledge, about Climate Science and capacity to adapt to it impact. Bashiru and his team are also planning the first African Cultural Heritage and Eco Village in Sierra Leone.
